Description

The difference between raw wood and a finished cabinet that sells is often made in a room where the air tastes faintly of lacquer and precision. As a Wood Finisher in this Grand Rapids manufacturing facility, you shape that final moment, moving pieces through sanding, staining, and spray booth work until they meet exact customer standards. You will support production flow by preparing materials, checking quality, and keeping safety front of mind in a fast paced shop environment.

Our wood manufacturing operation in the Grand Rapids area produces finished wood components for commercial and residential use. Our facility focuses on craftsmanship, consistent quality standards, and steady output across finishing, staining, and spray booth work for customer driven orders.

A typical day's duties include : Performing wood finishing in spray booth environments, mixing and matching colors to specification, sanding and repairing surfaces, and operating cutting and drilling equipment. You will prepare materials for coating, monitor quality during production, and keep work areas organized and safe throughout the shift.

• Pay 18 dollars per hour
• Shift options First shift 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Second shift 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM

Qualifications for this position:
• Experience in wood finishing or similar shop environment preferred
• Familiarity with spray booth work and surface preparation preferred
• Must be able to speak, write, and read basic English
• Ability to use hand tools and operate basic wood shop equipment safely
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stay active throughout the shift
