Overview This remote position will play a key leadership role for accounts in the Midwest (Target, Best Buy, and Kohl’s). Reporting to the Senior Director of the Midwest, the Planning & Analytics Lead will be responsible for delivering data-driven insights, helping develop strategy to deliver market share growth, and pressure-testing forecasts to ensure business health is tracking across key retail accounts.
What You’ll Do Lead a team of analysts that act as the Planning & Analytics experts, monitoring market trends, pricing strategies, promotional impacts, and competitive positioning.
Ensure the brand is winning share and never giving it back by proactively addressing category performance gaps.
Deliver sharp competitor insights – who’s doing what, where, and how we win.
Build partnerships with retail accounts through presentation of market share (syndicated data) and consumer data across the entire SharkNinja portfolio.
Support the management of the demand planning process, tracking current category trends and leveraging them to develop future forecasts, communicating opportunity gaps and risk.
Provide real-time analysis of point-of-sale (POS) data to facilitate rapid decision-making and strategic adjustments.
Pressure Testing & Business Performance Guide analysts on developing and maintaining reporting dashboards to enhance visibility into key forecasting and performance metrics.
Develop analysts to lead financial analysis, including variance and trend analysis, to assess business performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, finance, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment on strategic priorities.
Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Analytics Development Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly analytics reports tracking business performance, category trends, and key financial metrics.
Analyze market opportunities, identifying category gaps and competitive risks to inform strategic decision-making.
Present actionable insights based on internal and external data, aligning major initiatives across the accounts.
Evaluate pre- and post-promotion performance to quantify impact and drive effective retail strategies.
Track and measure key performance indicators, including promotional lift, pricing elasticity, and sales results.
What You’ll Bring 7+ years of experience in a strategic sales, category management, or business analytics role.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate insights into business strategies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and analytics tools (BI tool experience is a plus).
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with senior leadership.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying market threats and opportunities.
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $98,600—$151,300 USD. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
